| I love Indian food. My father is an excellent cook. He works part-time and can spend a lot of time at home. That's good for us. My mother works full-time and I have to spend loads of time doing homework. Since my grandmother is living with us we take turns making dinner but when my father's cooking I like it the most.
Food is very important. In Hinduism there are a lot of different, complicated rules concerning food. You have to eat with your right hand, you may not touch other people's food and you're not allowed to eat beef. This because a cow is very important for us. It's sacred. I notice that my parents were raised in a very disciplined way on this. I have to confess that I sometimes quite fancy a hamburger from McDonald's. |
