| Churches look very different in the Netherlands but it is still the house of God. In the church people are assembling for prayer and to thank God for all the things that we have. People can also go there when they have sorrows or when they are sick. They can pray and that will help them handle their sorrows or disease.
Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a long time ago on earth and he told the people about everything. About how they can pray and live with each other in a good way.
Christmas is the most important feast. Christmas comes from ‘Christ-mass’. Christmas reminds people of the birth of Jesus. It’s a feast about good coming to the world. The date of Christmas is the 25th of December. At Christmas time a Christmas-tree is decorated and beneath the tree there is a crib and pictures. |
